About Peta

Why does it take a life changing moment, a ‘not so good’ prognosis from a Dr, or a tragic event for us to make lasting changes in our lives?

Hi, my name is Peta, I live on a farm in beautiful Tasmania, and I’m a health enthusiast.  Over the years I have tried and subscribed to nearly every diet out there but nothing was helping me. I had given up.  I couldn’t see why WILDFIT would be any different.

As a mother of 3 boys, providing good nutrition and keeping my children safe was a priority.  I also come from a long line of good cooks, so cooking tasty food and plenty of it, was an important way to show how much you cared for and loved everyone.  But despite my best intentions, my health was declining.  My body ached all over and I suffered constant joint pain from osteoarthritis, particularly in both feet, and I’d had fortnightly migraines for 10 years.  But it still took me 2 years for my sons to convince me to try WILDFIT.  It wasn’t until my mum was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone cancer) in March 2020, and our middle son, moved in to take care of her, that I started to take notice.  I watched my mum’s life transform as Andrew guided and supported her through the 90 day challenge.

But I was still a sceptic. Would this work for me?

By the end of the 90 days I could see the light at the end of the tunnel.  The prognosis from my doctor and the picture of me ending up in a wheelchair, and being a burden to my family was fading. I could finally wear closed shoes, was walking around the block, and we were planning a family bushwalk at Three Capes in the beautiful far southeast of Tasmania.  This had been a dream I had given up on. I will always be grateful that my family didn’t give up on me.  They respected that the time wasn’t right and waited patiently for me to be ready.  Then, as my family guided and supported me through the 90 days, I thought, ‘I have to do this for others.’ And couldn’t wait to sign up to be a coach.

My whole life I have searched for my true purpose and now I know what it is.

So, when you are ready, I am here for you!

At the end of the challenge I had two major beak throughs.  Relief and regret.   Relief that I never had to worry about how to manage my health or my weight or my arthritis pain, and regret that I didn’t do this sooner.

During the 12 months that followed I was privilege to share the WILDFIT journey with 3 groups and over 50 people, and the results continue to amaze me. I then took a break from coaching to study Functional Nutrition and am halfway through a 2 year course, but my desire to help others has been so strong, that I’m back coaching and will be guiding a group through the World Wide 90 Day Challenge.

It’s client feedback like this that you can’t ignore!

“I had no idea that what I ate had such an impact on my life.  You actually don’t need willpower…this isn’t a diet, it’s an education…..a must do for everyone” Tracey W

“You have nothing to lose and everything to gain”  Naomi B

“This has been the best investment I have ever made” Brenden G

“Peta’s gentle, patient and non-judgemental guidance was so much more than I had bargained for…. Peta’s genuine interest and empathy for each member of the group gave me the determination to work through the challenge of making significant lifestyle changes, which have in many ways have transformed my life; far beyond the foods I eat.” Catriona N

“It’s been the best thing I’ve done for myself, ever!….. I feel I have tools and strength to continue to make the changes I must do to have good health! Something that is immeasurably valuable to us all! Thankyou Peta, for your unending joy and positivity in the face of all my doubts!”  Julia T

So, you might think that this is a story about pain management and migraines, or coping with chemo and weight loss, but it so much more than that.  It’s a story about curiosity and trust, it’s a story about understanding your body and taking control, it’s a story about learning and creating awareness through knowledge, it’s a story about frustration and relief, about energy and fulfilment, about tears and laughter. It’s a story about taking care of yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally, it’s a story about being brave, about encouraging and helping others.

What it’s not about is dieting and restriction, or counting calories and measuring food, its not about being vegan or carnivore, it’s not about judgement as no one is right or wrong, and it’s not about being over weight or thin………….

It’s a story about you, and your health, and your journey!
