About Louise
What kind of “transformation” are you looking for?
How about to start aging backwards?
What will it take to go from “feeling sort of okay” to “feeling great”?
What will it take to make you want to change? Hopefully it won’t be a major illness…..
I am so excited and honoured to be part of the WILDFIT team helping transform the lives of many. I help health seekers of all ages (teenagers to seniors) on their journey with the WILDFIT program. I have seen clients increase their energy, get better sleep, solve “gut issues”, release/gain weight, have less stress and gain a stronger immune system (so important during these times!).
ABOUT ME – the past:
I grew up in Québec City and Montréal and until recently lived about one hour from Toronto in the lovely town of Cobourg. My “transformation” happened about 15 years ago. One day, walking on the beach with my daughter, I was tired of being tired, got really angry and decided I had to do something. I can still vividly remember the day. I was feeling “old, always exhausted, in pain and petrified I would end up in a wheelchair”. I had been struggling with the advice from my doctors and took a giant leap –> I followed the advice of Hippocrates: “Let thy food be thy medicine…..”. I put my body, mind and spirit into changing my diet and my mindset. It worked!! Since 2008 the lifestyle I’ve embraced includes the whole food plant-based diet that works for me, moderate exercise (except when I’m downhill skiing at Lake Louise), mindfulness practices and healthy relationships.
In 2017 I took the WILDFIT 90 Day Challenge to gain an understanding of food psychology especially as it relates to cravings (who isn’t addicted to sugar or coffee or carbs….?) and how the food industry has contributed to the poor health of many around the world. What an eye opener!! I knew I could help others and decided to become a WILDFIT Coach.
ABOUT ME – the present:
It’s a new chapter in my already long life. I left my very comfortable life in Canada and moved to Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. Why? To get out of my comfort zone so that I can grow, be challenged, develop new relationships, discover a developing country, learn a language….. I occasionally receive compliments from friends for the courage it took to make such a big move. I guess it was courageous. Initially I experienced it as challenging, scary and exciting. Now I love and embrace these feelings. It’s what happens when I encounter something new. I feel alive.
How do I relate this to being a WILDFIT Coach?
When clients start the 90 Day Challenge, they embark on a journey into the unknown because it is unlike anything they have done before. The foundation of WILDFIT, which is based on education, behavioural psychology and mindset, prepares them for the challenges, the unknown (scary) and the excitement for their new lifestyle and healthy future.
Many times clients have said: “Thank you for changing my life.”
As your coach, I will commit to listen to your needs, and encourage you to set your goals for a healthy life. I will support you (whether you are a meat-eater, pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan) with the tools to accomplish more than you could do on your own. All of this while having fun and tasting delicious, nutritious food in a community of supportive like-minded WILDFITTERS!!
