Think about this- without change there would be no butterflies… And WILDFIT truly changed my life.
2019- I was at a place in my life where I was just not content. There was no reason why I should not be content or satisfied- I had a great husband and family, a secure home to live in, a chance to have a break from work and figure out my next step and my health was “decent” but definitely not great.
When I really looked into it, I think what was bugging me was my weight and Hashimotos. I had been trying for years to overcome my weight battle and to go back to my size of 9 years ago. I was working out and playing sports, I was trying to be conscious of what I ate but yet NOTHING was changing. I felt lazy and would justify eating lots because I was working out.
I was getting frustrated when clothes just did not seem to be getting looser. I just didn’t like the way I looked or felt. I remember hiking in Yosemite National Park in California in November 2019, how I was struggling, like really struggling to do the hike. Breathless, struggling with each step, fighting the mental battle to not give up and physically feeling the need to just give up, watching all the others around me cruising along, and just not enjoying the climb. I used to love hikes, they used to feel amazing, yet now it was just a question of why am I even doing this. I should be fitter than this, why am I not?! This really pushed me over the edge and made me feel more upset. I was trying to improve my fitness but it just wasn’t happening. As positive as I tried to be I would still have those moments where I was like something needs to CHANGE, I just didn’t know what or where to begin!
At this point I thought this was how I was going to live- I have to settle with this below average fitness and accept that maybe I won’t do steep hikes anymore and maybe I will just have to feel tired and lethargic when we go camping. That is just life, I have to live with it.
Luckily, I watched a Masterclass on WILDFIT. And thought maybe I give this a try. BEST DECISION EVER!!
There were challenging moments through the program no doubt, but the end result and what I have learnt cannot be unlearnt! WILDFIT has transformed me into an energetic, thyroid medication free human being! I love the fact that I have energy, that I can go camping and wake up for sunrises and stay up to stare at the stars, that I can go on hikes, that I am so active and that I am just more cheerful in life :) Plus releasing excess weight boosted my confidence. On top of this, I’ve learnt that I don’t have to reward myself with food, that I’m not controlled by food and that I have a mindset to grow.
I continue to be a foodie, loving the outdoors and cuddles from my dog and finally have the time to dive into novels.
