About Dr. Gaby

I used to believe healthy eating is
complicated and time-consuming. Not so.


💚 My passion is helping people and especially diabetics take back control over their weight and their health. And to prove to you that it is possible to eat healthy even when you have a demanding job, two kids bouncing around you, and you feel like you don’t even have time to breathe, let alone eat healthy.

💪 I remember very well when I completed WILDFIT as a client in 2017: It was such an empowering feeling that I could now just decide what I wanted to weigh. My weight was suddenly completely under my control. And still is.

💡 When I learned a few years later, that WILDFIT had become available in German, I signed up to become a WILDFIT coach that very evening. I wanted to bring this program to as many people as possible.

👩‍🎓 After completing my master’s and doctoral degree in business administration and psychology at the University of Munich, I worked as a management consultant for McKinsey and Bain. In 1999, I founded my own consulting firm together with three colleagues, working as the COO ever since. We currently employ 50 people in Munich and focus on irrational human decision making.

🍁 Which is pretty much what WILDFIT does. Let’s face it, almost every food decision today is a prime example of irrational human decision making. WILDFIT is not only about what we eat, but why we eat it. In my opinion, focusing on the psychological aspects of eating is the main reason why WILDFIT is so wildly successful.


How Maple Syrup started me on my
journey into Health and Nutrition


🧁 When I went to the U.S. as an exchange student at the age of 17, I discovered French toast with maple syrup. And I found out quickly that if you don’t have French toast on hand, it is quite possible to drink the maple syrup straight from the bottle. After three months, the scale was up 13 pounds (6 kg). Not funny. I never became really overweight, but keeping my weight started to become a constant struggle.

📗 Then my partner got cancer at age 27 and eventually died from it five years later. I became obsessed with nutrition and ways to prevent disease. My logic: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I had just watched the medical system fail my partner, and I wanted to do everything I could to prevent something like that from happening to me or anyone else. So I read every available book on nutrition that I could find.


WILDFIT provided clarity when
conflicting information left me feeling lost


😕 Unfortunately, my research did not get me the expected results. Every new book and every new study seemed to contradict at least part of what I had read before. The more I learned, the more confused I became. And confusion is not a good state to be in when it comes to food, because it leads to poor dietary choices. (If nobody can agree on what’s good for me anyway, might as well have another donut.)

💙 Fortunately, I found WILDFIT and got what I was looking for: a logic of what is good for me and what is not, and the psychological tools to put those dietary choices into action. With WILDFIT I found the freedom to not even desire foods that are not good for me. Which has been great for my weight. And for my health. Now I want to give that same freedom to you.

🔆 I live in Germany and speak English with my kids even though English is not my native language.

🔆 I crossed the Australian outback in a four-wheel drive five times.

🔆 I travelled to 49 countries and worked in 7 of them.
